Manuel Hedinger

Self-employed developer. I build software for clients and my own products, with AI in the loop where it earns its place.

I've been building software for a few years now — for clients and as my own products, mostly web applications that have to keep running long after the launch post. These days that means working with AI models and tools every day: for the first draft, for the boring parts, and for the questions I'd otherwise spend an afternoon on.

What I write here comes out of that work. What actually shipped, what stalled, and what I'd do differently next time.

How I work

Working beats impressive
A demo is easy. The work is everything that keeps it up once real people depend on it.
AI where it earns its place
It's a fast, tireless collaborator on the parts that don't need judgement — and I leave it out of the parts that do.
Small, reversible steps
Ship in pieces you can undo. It's the only way to move quickly without betting the project on a guess.
